Product Updates: Planned Percentage Complete, Ability to add activities on Table/Gantt and Variance Reason Codes
Our December 2024 update introduces tracking project progress with Planned Percentage Complete (PPC), adding activities to your project from the Gantt view, and categorizing delays and schedule changes with variance codes.
Planned Percentage Complete (PPC): As construction projects evolve, staying on top of progress is crucial to ensuring timelines and budgets are met. That's why we're excited to introduce the Planned Percentage Complete feature. This feature lets you monitor your project's progress by comparing planned activities with actual completions. You can easily track how much of the project has been completed versus what was originally planned, offering a clear, data-driven overview of project health.
With this feature, you gain valuable insights into your project's status at a glance. It helps you identify gaps or delays early, enabling you to make informed decisions and adjust your plans to keep the project on track. The ability to switch between Planning and Committed states enhances flexibility. In the Planning state, you can freely adjust the schedule without worrying about locking progress updates, allowing you to fine-tune details. Once you're ready to track progress, switching to the Committed state locks your dates, ensuring updates are accurate and reflect actual progress. This gives you a reliable view of your project's advancement, reduces the risk of errors, and helps maintain alignment with your project goals and deadlines. Learn More
Ability to add activities on Gantt: You can now add activities directly from Gantt views, simplifying your project planning process. This feature allows you to quickly build, update, and manage your schedule in the view that best suits your workflow, saving time and reducing the need to switch between views. Whether you prefer the free flowing layout of the Canvas or the visual timeline of the Gantt chart, you can now easily add tasks in the most efficient way for your project. Learn More
Variance Reason Codes: Variance Reason Codes enable you to track and categorize delays or schedule changes in your project by applying variance reason to activities and tasks. Whether the delay is due to weather, resource issues, or any other reason, you can easily assign a variance code to each affected activity.
This feature gives you the ability to gain deeper insights into the reasons behind schedule variances. By categorizing delays, you can quickly identify patterns, uncover potential risks, and understand which factors are impacting your project timeline. Not only does this improve transparency across teams, but it also enhances reporting accuracy, making it easier to communicate project status with stakeholders. Learn More
