Product Updates: New Trace Path, As Late as Possible Constraint, and Sorting options
Planera brings essential tools to streamline project management, including the new Trace Path for visualizing task connections, an "As Late as Possible" constraint for optimal scheduling flexibility, and enhanced sorting options for data organization in tables. These features simplify complex workflows, improve resource allocation, and help you keep track of dependencies, ensuring smoother, more efficient project execution.
New Trace Path: Navigating complex projects can be challenging, especially when trying to understand how activities and milestones are interconnected. The new Trace Path feature simplifies this process by allowing you to view the predecessors and successors for any selected activity or milestone. This view eliminates unnecessary clutter, enabling you to focus on the essential connections that impact your project. The initial trace shows three levels of connections; expanding reveals one level at a time.
As Late as Possible Constraint: The As Late As Possible constraint allows you to delay an activity until the last moment without impacting the overall project deadline. This flexibility optimizes resource allocation and timelines, enabling critical tasks to be completed just in time for subsequent activities. It is particularly useful for managing dependencies and mitigating risks, ensuring efficient use of resources when adjustments to the schedule are necessary.
Sorting options: Table now has multi-level sorting. You can set a primary sort, like Start Date, and then a secondary sort, such as Calendar. This streamlined sorting approach gives you clearer, more organized views of your data, making it easier to find what you need and spot insights fast.
